For those of you who read the “Weekend o’ Craziness,” here is a rundown of how the weekend actually went . . .
First, we went to the Butterfly Spot on Saturday around noon after eating a tasty breakfast of biscuits and honey and cantaloupe (it was going to be gravy, but we just weren’t feelin the gravy). We should have known the minute we got out of the truck after the forty five minute drive and realized that we’d left the canoe paddles at the house that it was time to call it a day, but instead we decided to hike to our spot, rather than canoe and enjoy the lake anyway. It was going pretty well from there . . .
Until I was trying to hold the dogs and run by a group of people who were day camping and the dog, both of them, sort of bolted at the same time and I went down still holding onto their collars, landing conveniently on my forearm.
Although I insisted we could just wash it out with Callistoga water and keep on keepin on, Carl insisted much more vehemently that we were going home. Now. (He has this thing about blood : ) Sooooooo, we cut our Butterfly trip a little short and headed home to Dr. me up before the Avett Brother’s conert at the Britt in Jacksonville.
It was Carl and I’s first concert together and a fitting one too, since we’re considering several of their songs for our wedding ceremony. : )
Then Sunday finally came and we got up nice and slow, I got a little horseback riding in with Doug Diggity and it was off to Grants Pass to ride the Hellgate Jet Boats!!!!!!! I highly recommend it for anyone we had such a great time and I’m glad we were able to get seats for the dinner “excursion” because the dinner was FABULOUS and done at the OK Corral which is a beautiful venue. : )
