Thank you for getting us all home safely.   : )  Last night was insane and hilarious and the Captain was in top form for his B-day celebration.  I’ll post the rest of the pics tonight after we’ve gone to the tasting/food pairing at Four Daughters.  CARL IS TWENTY SEVEN TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And I stand in awe that our creator has managed to keep him alive each of those twenty seven years.  : )

Carl’s B-Day!!!!!  This year he will be 27 on the 27th!  And after last year (as seen below) I’m sure its going to be a great time.  : )

Carl's 26th!!!!!

I’m not sure of the entire plan yet, but I know that Saturday night we’re going out on the town and Sunday we’re going to a Deschutes brewery tasting/food pairing at Four Daughters.  All throughout the weekend I have promised him I will watch numerous episodes from Star Trek both Voyager and The Next Generation.  I tell him its because I love him so much that I make such sacrifices . . . but secretly I actually enjoy cuddling up on the couch with him and watching a few episodes.  So I think that’s the plan and I have no doubt there will be many entertaining pics to post before the weekend is through.  : )

Carl and I pulled off to the side of the interstate somewhere along the Columbia River between Pendleton and Biggs.  It just looked so beautiful I couldn’t resist and I was so tired and stressed from the weekend, I couldn’t sit in the truck on that endless stretch of road between Ashland and M-F for one more minute without stretching my legs and having a bit of adventure. : )

Which leads me to yet another of the many reasons I am in love with Carl.  When I made my lightning fast decision to pull over and run all over the countryside, the Captain (as he is now, often called :)  was fast asleep in the passenger seat no doubt dreaming pleasant dreams about even more sleep seeing as how he got so little of it.  He didn’t even open his eyes till I said his name and then he just smiled and reached for the dog leash.

He is always up for anything and since the day I met him ten years ago he has always been able to throw Plan A out the window on a whim for a Plan B that is rarely, in actuality, a plan at all.  He loves spontaneous adventures, he loves all my wild ideas and even aides and abets my constant trespassing along every beautiful highway or byway.

He’s definitely a keeper.  : )
